Positive plus positive equals positive.

Your positive light is an inspiration.

Yesterday my printer became operational once again.

Thanks to my brothers helpful input.

Well I was grateful that I had found the energy to climb the ladder 20 times to clean the gutter pipes. Of course today I feel beat into the ground and ache all over.LOL

Most people should remember that they do not gain 10 kilos in 14 days. They gain weight much more slowly but steadily. They should expect the same in trying to lose it.

And if all else fails, smile at yourself in the mirror.
Say to your reflection, "I love you. Damn, you're good looking." If that doesn't get your happy silly mojo working, I don't know what will. Maybe YouTube babies laughing.

Getting a bright new idea today--
from your blog! That's a smiling event for the future, too!
Getting dietary lifestyle changes to happen is the greater part of the battle.

Re: grimleaf
You're very welcome.
Sometimes it's hard to find bright spots. However something or other nice happens every day. Even if it's minute, there's nothing wrong in putting it under a magnifying glass.

Betty, you're always so positive! Thanks very much for writing--a letter from a friend surely counts as a blessing; will get back soon. All the best. Nita.

The hardest thing in this world was staying positive everyday. I figured it out and it works. My wife fully understands now and it works for both of us. Is it something to do with age and maturity? If I was not around for my wife will she still be depressed? Thanks elinjo, yet another tool to add to my anti-depression tool box.

Re: non-positive events and swearing.
You are absolutely right! Swear words are pressure valves to be kept for specially horrible occasions.

Too many to list but one that comes to mind is I cooked a yummy dinner, sipped wine with my husband, and made him smile. When he smiles so do I.

I try not to look back, only forward
but sometimes, like today, I definitely felt stronger mentally and physically to face the day ahead. Yesterday did get better as it went on so I think you have something in this theory!

My son is home from the Bering Sea and everyday is filled with laughter! Have a great day and I liked this post and the article very much! It makes sense to eat less and exercise more! It always drives me nuts when I hear ads to help people lose an incredible amount of weight in a short time when it is nothing more than water and the possibility of losing muscle as well! Have a wonderful evening! Shelly

I rarely have a day when most things that happen around are
not positive. And hugs from grandchildren can turn any bad day into a good one. Non-positive events I consider to be a learning tool. They are also a good excuse to swear loudly and longly, LOL!

Elinjo - I don't have much of a weight issue after my illness specifically. Even otherwise my girls will keep me on my toes if they feel that I have gained unnecessary weight. But the weight issue here is slowly becoming a problem. Well I would love to share with you and others what really made me happy yesterday. I was with people I love especially my two girls. We had a lovely eat-out but our guests left today so I'm kinda missing them. And reading about what made you happy yesterday made me think what a great grandma you are!!
