The home part sounds terrific. Our family has always loved family games too, but we've never got past contract whist. Must try Canasta some time, it sounds like fun (which you defintiely need when the day job goes tricky.)

I love it! No end in sight and pressure from all sides to perform! Rise to the task, for tonight it could be board games! lol I hope your weekend went well! I have been in Seattle, Washington where I took in the Jimi Hendrix Museum and it was fabulous! I got to see his famous jacket that he wore so frequently! I just wonder at times what might have happened in his career had he not died so young! Have a fantastic week! sam

I hate presentations. I was always so darn nervous. I never did get a bad grade though. Usually I pulled an above average to stellar grade.

malcolm
I used to play canasta with my mum, eons ago, we loved it. Also, I had a girl friend from Liverpool I used to go and visit but she got me too close to marriage at 22 so I ran off back to Canada. LOL

I have a dread of public speaking
and I am convinced that it take an alien to enjoy it.  Card games sound fun though

I wouldn't worry about your presentation - you are a good writer so you will do well. I love family evenings too. Maybe you should take Susan to Vegas for the big card games? LOL!

Business is doing badly here. They are saying there's a recovery and Bernanke is saying that he saved the world....via bailouts. One researcher says that the unemployment figure is 16%. Others say that only few will survive eg the dollar stores. It is definitely challenging!

I remember Canasta as being fun.  I haven't played it for years.
