I remember being in a writing group for a little time. It didn't last long, unfortunately. But you see, you were not lost for writing. You did a fine job just by telling us about the diverse personalities of the group!

Pat
This post reminds why I hate writing groups! And 'writing block' is a more or less permanent condition with me, lol...

These writing groups can be mixed blessings; I go to one too. There are usually 5 or 6 of us, all women, and we always have a meal together before the reading session. They are all very good writers and know it too. So far they've told me that my writing's much too 'prim'; so next time I will have to produce something 'shocking'.

Could be a case of
the over-analysis blues.

Pat-B In the words of the late Rick Nelson "You can't please everyone ..so
you got to please yourself. " ...Go with your gut.... I was in a writing group back in my ex-home town and we pretty much had the same kind of characters.
(Porn poets, salespeople, and "I can't see past my ego, so I will not adhere to corrections") I am pretty sure you will come up with something worthwhile of your time and effort.

I cannot imagine you, of all people, stuck or uncertain. It just always seems to me that material continuously flows from that pretty head of yours.
