Betty; your posts always offer something different and thus are never gratuitous. I always seem to pick up something new, something borrowed and something blue. Wow! Did I just write the lyrics to a song? Great post and have a happy weekend.

Have a great time visiting with your friends. That's a scary quote. Really though, have fun in the kitchen too.

First of all, Happy New Year! And about this business of murdering cooks - these days I think most of the 'murders' are being committed by the 'cooks' of 'Fast Food'...

Re: Murder among cooks? or by them...
Thanks Pat for the New Year wishes. Yes, that 15 minutes' gobble-gobble-gone business is enough to drive any hostess/host to distraction . Though I think the point was that the  cooking killed the eaters. LOL

I swear you and vogue are the two busiest ladies on here.  You do more in a week then I do in maybe two years, better yet three years. Have fun.

Murder among cooks? or by them...
This blog got me thinking about special occasion cooking, and how frustrating it is after you've spent the day assembling the most delicious things you can imagine, getting the presentation lined up, sweating and watching the timing while everyone else is partying in another room -- and then it's gone in fifteen minutes, and taken for granted to boot!  Oh, well...  Happy New Year!  I hope you have a wonderful time.
