That makes a lot of sense.

I must admit that when I exercised in a gym with a bunch of good friends, that we were always laughing and having a good time.  But, I also very much enjoy getting out in the sunshine and fresh air by myself for a good walk.

Re: Exercise...
Typing's exercise ! Getting up from our chairs to go into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee is exercise too. Walking 10,000 steps a day? Ambitious but not impossible, because you can count the steps from your computer to the kitchen and back again.

Re: Good morning to you Elinjo!
Lindo, I couldn't agree with you more. I work out at a gym for the sake of my health; but I hate it! All those sweaty, muscular young men make me feel thoroughly inferior. There's nothing social about it at all.

Exercise...
Are you saying typing isn't exercise?  And now Dr. Oz wants me to get a pedometer and walk 10,000 steps a day?  Yeah, like that's gonna happen.

Good morning to you Elinjo!
I'm not sure about the validity of these findings. it does make sense if the subject is rowing but what about going to the gym? shouldn't that be also considered as group exercise? i-for one think- it is depressing to work out next to the fit and slim!

I remember times of sitting up way too long and talking, propping open eyelids, but isn't it just a blast! It was a very interesting article, too! I hope you get some sleep, both of you! Shelly

Good Morning Elinjo - I know how the talking can get into the wee hours of the morning..and sociable exercise for happiness sounds interesting. Just imagine, killing two birds with one stone - you lose weight and you find happiness. Just great therapy there I suppose. Enjoy yourself.
