How refreshing to find this blog ---
reminding me that I need to study the forms a bit more. I write and have written for many years simply ignoring patterns, cadence, rhythm, and I like to be able to read bits of study like this and take what I need to hopefully add a bit more 'depth' to my gift. I was just speaking to an old guitar player the other day and we had this similar discussion on lyric poetry. Thank you for adding meat to my plate.

Awesome explanation! You write extremely well!!!! I like the lyric poem for the poet must reach into the deep recesses of his mind to evoke that spontaneity for me! sam
