I see we have several things in common....I used to homeschool (briefly, wow that's a lot of work, I admire anyone who does it), and I just looove older homes with character. I've re-habbed two of them. I loved the squeaky, creaking floors and the interesting woodworking. We live in a newer home now and it's really lacking in that special something that more mature homes have. I'm glad that you have family around you; I believe in that, too. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your post and hope that you will get some time to create more soon.
