Excellent Ian! The ominous politeness and veiled threats at the Gestapo HQ  suspense, that  had me sitting on the edge of my chair sweating.
Probably because I tend to be too politically correct, it jars on my sensibilities when I read words like 'kraut' and 'limey', but no doubt this is part of the jargon that people used at the time.

Hallo, kindred spirit in the historical figures dialogue department. Do you think Marc Anthony's fishing rod was diamond encrusted? She might have screamed: "So that's  where they went. I was looking for the damned things everywhere!"
