We had a fabulous time....of course I was thinking of how to put everything into words; how I could express it all through writing. There was one star lit night that really enthralled me...I've never seen so many in my life. How on earth do you begin to describe such a thing? Thank you for the Birthday Wishes, Taps. Kudos to all creative husbands, but oh, they get a reprieve of only 48 hours before they are again brought back to the reality of criticism. I didn't know that. So sad, ain't it? Have a wonderfully cosy birthday gift, and make the best of it . Here's your B'day present .

Let me tell you I DO know what you mean!!! I've had 20 years of mediocre, if that...I showed Husband your comment and he feels really good now. I said the ladies were singing his praises and he said, that I haven't even gotten all of the surprise yet....(what could this mean???) He must be my reward for surviving the Other One...I should write a post about the dues I've paid to get to this one, Isis. I had to put up with the vilest of behaviors, etc. Having doors slammed in my face (at church in front of the worshipers), being berated in front of strangers, being the butt of all of his jokes with his illicit lovers. Sheesh. I could go on (and I have!). So this is a welcome and unbelievable relief. There's no perfection; this one has his quirks; but it's better...so much better. THANK YOU for reading, Isis Eyes! Have a very good weekend as well. You deserve it, too.

Well done, husband!

Darson, I must say I am impressed indeed.  And believe me, I am not easily impressed in the husband department.  It reminds me of the time I waited six hours in the freezing truck while Pablo was dirt biking.  He brought me along just so I "wouldn't get lonely".
