I can appreciate the time spent! It can be engaging, but also addicting! I think it is wonderful when a writer takes on the issues of the day, especially those that go against the grain! Very awesome explanation as well! sam

This is an excellent work. You have made clear the writers unerstanding of curses on families and the result of deliberate sin. Great job.

Aba, what an assignment...and how apropos that you finished on Halloween ~ BOO!
Seriously, this is quite the read. Full of 'skeletons' or ghosts in closets and it's interesting that this play-write just about ended his career. I imagine it was quite open and risque for that era. Amazing the license he took in free speech back then eh? There is this movie called "House of Spirits" --- The book this movie was produced from was written by Isabel Allende and the intent of this novel was to exorcise the ghosts of the Pinochet dictatorship. (He was president of the republic). It is a very interesting movie (in my humble opinion). and for some reason, this playwrite made me think of it.

I'm proud of you for completing the read and the study and I think you'll excel in your aspirations as you truly do such a fine job of summarizing and bringing the gist to light for discussion. This is a rich study. I hope you are having a pleasant enough night and that you are being safe with all the Halloween activities about. ~ Write on dear Aba ~ and keep us in touch of what you are reading...it's so interesting.

According to your fine review Ibsen chronicles in fiction the social and political ghosts of Scandinavia in the 19th century. His technique of using analog to make comment should provide an outline of story structure for authors today love. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst
