FSI, I like how calm and composed your blogs are ~ I find them interesting. And it's good that Steve Redder and your Dad seemingly fared well and with severance and all. I would be interested to see if Steve does come part time over the holiday Season. ~ Great read

It is really great that everything went down rather peacefully and friendly like. My grandson was telling me over dinner Friday evening that one of the employees where he works, just that day, got really angry in an argument with his boss and suddenly started swinging and hit the boss in the face with his fists two or three times before someone could get behind him and pull him off. Charges were pressed and he was arrested for assault and of course he was fired. Grandson Peter was amazed that someone would do this.

The situation you write about.....
is indeed a rare one......Seldom are separations like this friendly. I once had a Human Resources Manager 0n my staff that said......She always knew she had done a separation correctly when the employee thanked her at the end!
