Strick, I heard that phrase a few times growing up, but not often, and
considering I was born 12 years after my younger sis, my Mom did well being not too busy to show a shy boy how to live right...I often wonder if she thought of me as another chance.

Good for you - and great for her! It is so good for a child to know that they are special and that they count for something.

I want to cry because I used to say that to my boys when they were
kids too. I still resent the fact that so often it was because their father took me from them to be with him instead.

I never want to have those regrets
so I always try to make time. I made the mistake of telling my oldest daughter when she was growing up that I was too busy at times...I put my work first, I am not doing that this time.

I regret saying that to my mom years ago...now I don't have her to say
it, too.
