....sorry 'bout that....Dress clothes tend to be itchy and uncomfortable. I know when my son has to button up his collar ALL the way, so he can wear a tie, he's practically gagging the whole time...

Re: Rumor

The hike with the family would've been lovely, but not in the dress clothes. And I know what you mean; I am one that loooves to take drives now. Anywhere other than my weekday surroundings is brain candy. Whoever instituted the Sunday Drive knew what they were doing. That is some quality family time...with the exception of the aforementioned situations...I like you Pat! You understand me perfectly!

You know what??? I kinda like the 'arson' thing....I am a large pyromaniac; was more so when I lived out in the country, anything I could make a bonfire with, I would! The kids loved it! That was really good, abanerjee....I give it a thumbs up.

OMG! Talk about a step back in time...
We used to take Sunday drives when the kids were little -- also before seatbelts. Maybe we didn't dress in our Sunday best, but the elbows and arguments!  Oh, yeah.  And Ex-2 was one of those tyrants behind the wheel. Fortunately, we did take a hike at the destination, which was usually a state park about 50 miles from home, complete with hiking trails. Thanks for the time travel.

Dear Darson, your stories have that quality of d (arson), that you set your readers alight with or should I say 'arsonistic' quality? Aww, no I wouldn't, just trying my hand at being funny . But nothin' funny save the humor; they are always sunny .

At the end of the year, I am going to have a 'workable work', as per Tzippy's challenge. I told her that I would, and I will. Most of my Uncommon Sense blogs will be the material...I just have to rearrange them into chronological order, maybe, and find a way to tie them together with some lead-in's. So that's in the works, actually. I couldn't write a novel or anything right now...It would be way too daunting. My mind works in the here and now much better and has a short attention span, so short stories are the way to go for the time being. What do you think of that, O my most wonderful supporter? And I just love ya for that, by the way. I respect your comments, and take them as truthful, simply because I've read your writings and know that you are an accomplished writer. So I take heed to what you say, and I'm so grateful for your feedback!

Darson ~ I tell you, you should write a book...I would certainly buy it and share with many --- I simply get joy - and well, all emotions come to life while and when finished reading. You have such a good sense of humor; such good timing in the way you write and well, I can't say enough - I enjoy your blogs ~ Thank you for sharing -  ~ Elyse

...that would've been great? What, no ski resorts? And I'd be interested to know what you were required to wear on these ventures...suit and tie?

Darson, yes, you do have a very easy flowing and easily readable way

about your stories....:)

I can remember going for the odd Sunday drive with my Mom's best friends from church (since my Mom didn't drive and Dad had passed away)..they were usually fun, and a break from regular Sunday afternoon boredom)
