I am laughing so hard right now...and I've never heard the term Irish Twins, so that's a new one for me...my sister had some, too....ten months apart...one was a preemie...they are in the same grade at school, but look nothing alike. Two girls. Pat, with the color difference did you get comments about the mailman all the time?

I had Irish twins. Back in 61 and 62. They were born 51 weeks apart.
(less than a year apart = Irish twins.) I was pregnant for what seemed like two whole years. The 2nd one caught up in size to the 1st one in six months, although he didn't walk till he was 10 mos. old. The 1st was blonde, blue eyed, and the 2nd had dark hair. At least telling them apart was never a problem.

funny, yes, I've had my brush with twins, some are
really hard to tell apart and even some brothers close
in birth have thrown me too...

We had so little thrills when I had toddlers at home, I had to milk the twin thing for all it was worth...trying to squeeze a little excitement out of life back then, as it were. So you did it, too?....excellent!
