Re: kasperhoe
To further clarify...I did not know this man when I left my husband. I left my husband because he'd had the same girlfriend for the past twenty years....and it wasn't me! The divorce was almost final when I met this amazing man.

It was a chance encounter with a man at church, whom I'd had some long conversations on the telephone with, that were full of depth. My divorce wasn't final yet; the papers had been turned in...and...I just needed some time. We had decided not to see each other until I was ready. But when he said he was 'hopeful' I wanted to give him some token of hope that was tangible. I don't know what made me think of the ring...it just popped into my head. He still has that ring on his keychain...and about a year and a couple of months after that, he became my husband. So the wedding came later. But the ring was symbolic and the beginning of something very good. And yes, he's still holding onto it. It's his to have and to hold.

I did not know at the time that he was....there's an old Chevy without a motor, a piano that doesn't work in the garage, and some southwestern furniture stacked up against a wall in storage to prove it....! That wasn't exactly what I meant when I asked that question....!

Wow
Actually, this word fits perfectly to what I'm thinking about this entry. First of all I will say that I really liked it. Second thing is that I'm happy for you that you are loved and that he's good at holding on to things and on to you. The third thing (oh, sorry, didn't mean to make a fairy tale) I was surprised, because when I started reading it I thought of a wedding. Now I'm curious (and I hope to get to know the answer) was it a wedding?
