- Go to Make a difference by just being yourself...
That is a relaxing thought. I'll try it more often.

being yourself
Hi Straightforward,
Now that is not as straightforward as it sounds!! If one is a loner, sure, you can create any facade of personality you like; but if you have a partner, or family ties,or a business image to uphold, you are bound to live in a straitjacket of conformity. I am reading "Women who Run with the Wolves" by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, and she details the various ways in which women have been stripped of their power by domesticity and the demands of the male; most women respond by having a secret life of some sort. Unfortunately it must remain secret.. it is difficult to run with wolves when there is ironing, vacuuming and cooking to be done!! But you go and be yourself this Christmas, many will thank you for it!! Cambria.

I'm comfortable with who I am
and it took me years to get here. Yes, I believe that what you speak; be true - have integrity - be yourself ~ Elyse

I spent so much ofmy life just trying to please people...now what you see
is me. I am no good in a crowd so I don't try any more. I just go quiet. One to one I hog the floor.

You need a great deal of self confidence to be just yourself. Admirable feature, though.

Ah, yes, to be yourself. It took me a while to get there – I used to have multiple “images” or facades that I put out there to the world. Now I’m just me and it’s so freeing.
