Elyse!

Ha ha ha. Have you seen those crazy stencils for eyebrows? You just put them up against your face and fill them in. I can't see how 'one size' would fit all, so I've never tried them. But I guess that's an option. I'm sure my eyes are my windows...! I can't even lie, for crying out loud! We were all laughing the other day, though, the sisters and I...everyone says that if looks could kill, they'd be dead....we have the 'dirty look' mastered. Perhaps this can make up for being brow-less....?

Hugs to you, Sister!

Re: Elyse!
You and the eyebrow thing ... it makes me giggle--- i mean only because, mine are going away and I didn't know that happened; my hairdresser wants me to start drawing them on or filling them in...I haven't a clue how to do that so, I guess I'll be without punctuation or something ~ don't feel badly about no eyebrows...I just don't pay that any mind - I look for the EYES - the windows to a soul ~ and I would imagine your windows are so purely joyous and crystal in shine  ~ you just touch my heart Darson - refreshing!!!~

Elyse!

Why is it that I just want to hug you every time I read your comments?

You are fortunate with the poker face; you could play a lot of practical jokes on people that way, and you would never be the one to give away a surprise party or any such thing. People can see right through me, so I've (obviously) never practised the fine art of bluffing. I could no more do that than pretend that I have eyebrows. (I don't. I was talking to a friend up in Heaven when they handed them out....missed the whole event!)

THANK you for taking the time to do that! My posts are rather lengthy and wordy. I was thrilled to see your picture with Wiley and Kabu on Wiley's post. All three of you look like people I would love to go to dinner with!

Yes, that seems to be the consensus! I DO stink at lying, and I'm glad. No good trying to make a career of it at this point.

I would have to agree. I would rather tell a person they look just fine in that dress (because they're already at the event and there is nothing they can do about it) than have them feel self-conscious all evening long because it is not really their true size or their color. Amen. And yes, trying to keep up with lies seems like extra work. Obviously I'm too lazy for that! AND no good at it!

Yep, that's for sure. I must say that Lauren has gotten a lot of mileage out of my little tale. All I would have to say is 'fur' and she's off and running!

Oh, Pat....! Me, too. I cannot fathom how people can get so good at that. I have a lousy memory as it is, and trying to keep up with what I've told whom would very quickly overwhelm me. And, no, it's not fun to be around those who can so easily lie; I've been told that these types could even pass a lie detector test; they're so accustomed that to fib doesn't even get their heart rate up anymore. I call them 'thespians'....(accomplished actors).

Life is funny, isn't it...I got to wear a fur coat in that VERY SHOPPE this weekend! A nice do-over, if you will. I'll write about it in a minute. And I thought both the coat and I looked great! Thanks, Abanerjee!

Let it be remembered that I was really very young and unwise back then! And Jackson Hole could feel like a penitentiary if you get snowed in, up there! Thanks, Shobana!

BTW, I didn't comment on your previous posts, but read them all. You are a joy to read.

Whatever possessed you to tell a lie to someone who you KNEW would eventually get to chat with your boyfriend who knew the truth? You set yourself up for a 'gettin caught out'!!! Then, for pete's sake, you leave the room and leave them alone so they get to chat about it with no interruputions??

Nah - you stink at lying. Your ONLY choice is to tell it straight, or back to school for ya!

(LOL)

Lies are just sooo tiresome. It's such an effort to remember what and how you lied about, so, telling the truth is much easier. An exception are charitable white lies.

A lie comes to haunt and destroy, no matter the foundation, it will always be a lie! Best to avoid this and tell the truth, it huts far less in the long run! sam

It's to your credit that you can't tell a convincing lie... for long.
I've been around some very accomplished ones. It's not fun.
