My mind has wondered a time or two during a sermon as well.

Re: mneme
When I lived in Mexico, my mind wandered after about 1/2 of Spanish. But I still enjoyed the services.

Re: Troosha
It was sad to see all those empty tables. They went to a lot of trouble to make it. The good part is that they serve the homeless Mon.- Fri. so the food will not be wasted.

How lovely of you truly to go with the elderly lady ~ and you know in working in health care and with geriatrics mostly, I tell you I always gained such inspiration from those that truly overcame any and all maladys or crippling illnesses. I love your blogs, so calm I tell you and its a peaceful read ~ Elyse

Mariposa
Too bad it was such a small turn-out for the spaghetti dinner. What a nice gesture for you to take your elderly friend.

Hi Mariposa - don't worry, you are not the only one whose mind wanders during church sometimes. I think of it as all being part of being "ministered to," which is how some of my older and wiser women friends have explained it to me. Good things can often come out of a relaxed mind; you probably needed the respite.
