O, Ash! I have been trying to open your blog for two days and I have been stopped. It would even frustrate so that I would stop reading. I didn't understand until a few minutes ago why I couldn't! It was necessary for me to read this poem again because I just talked to my soldier son. He has been told to get his affairs in order, but no ship date yet. I am dying inside. He told me he has volunteered to go to Baghdad instead of Afghanistan. Here I was so worried and hopeful that he would not be part of the 30,000 and he volunteered. What makes men do the things they do? I know it can't be answered but I had to talk to you first! Thank you for your kind gesture, it means the world to me. I will let you know very soon if I will need the help. It is looking like I can pull this off, though! I am going to email my address after I leave your blog. It will be a couple of minutes, I have another poem of yours to savor. I can't put into words how much I got from Lotus! It was an amazing experience. Wonderful hw the Lord works! sam

What a wonderful picture in words! I love the way you express profound thoughts through short verses and perfectly chosen words! I just read of your gesture to Shelly---it's so kind and thoughtful. Happy holidays to you too; are you all set for the Indian holiday?

Ah, I just sigh my poetic sage, wonderful! I have had some unforeseen circumstances arise and I will have to depart this site. I wanted you to know that your growth as a poet has been phenomenal and I am very proud of you! You will always, forever and a day, be my poetic sage, by merit! sam

Your words bud and blossom for us to read
as if from a well nurtured soul
dwelling in a swampy land.  No matter what others here write
you continue with quality
in your poetry.
