Just to update the blog... the interview went well enough, for my nephew-in-law, but the bank opted to hire a local person. They indicated that a position might become available again later in the year, so it wasn't a total waste of time. Disappointing for him, but life goes in cycles ... he is starting a new job in the city (London) and my niece is much relieved. So am I; she is very much a home-loving family girl, in spite of her impressive resume. I'd hate to think of her finding herself as conflicted as I was, if he wanted to stay there and she didn't.

It has certainly been (and continues to be) a long goodbye - but I think once you have finally cast off for good, you will finally allow your new life to take hold of you...

they say time heals all wounds, it seems like you are a very strong person, and wish you the best. Every experience happens for a reason, good or bad

I think it is wonderful you experienced some healing! At times people come along for those reasons. You have every right to be happy and do not be denied! sam
