...yep, the potlatch is good...nothing feels better than to give away virtually everything that you own...it confers freedom...google for the local freecycle groups in your area...great way of giving away stuff that is clutter for you to people who actually want it and need it and will use it...freecycle...google it....the flylady wants you to...she whispers to me in the night...

I've had a lifelong battle with clutter. I keep telling myself that I'll use assorted things but end up letting them go bad and/or get even dustier.

Oh my word, you make me laugh every darn time. I understand about the sentimental things...Jordan collects pinecones for me, each camping trip, or special outing. I even have one from Hawaii (it's weird looking!). I wouldn't ever part with those...and they'd mean nothing to others, but to me, they're precious. Yes, I agree, there is a limit to....wokipiolitkit...whatever!...

Yes it is better to give than to receive....but I don't believe in giving
away my best....I worked hard forsome things or they came frommy Mum or have huge sentimental value.Those things I won't part with.
But I gave away a whole house and full of furniture and appliances etc and on and on when I divorced the ex. I don't feel all that refreshed for having done it except that the exchange was Canada and Wiley. Yeah....a good give away really.
