This came in my poem primarily from the great poets/poetesses like you. My credit goes to you all with you being a star in my firmament. Only therefore did my door to discovery was opened, and that you find it so, is just reciprocation. I so adore you Ely, my mentor

Well said, how can I be all-loving unless I first love my own self?

Making our latent potential patent
This is a wonderful message for self-improvement particularly at Christmas. If we all tried to raise ourselves above our base instincts the world would be a better place

Yes ma'am, you are so right. Charity, to be real charity, of necessity, has to begin at home.

How could I not attempt at doing what you told me to do, but I am so glad that you did. You have a way of nurturing others' skills through your blessings, at least it is so with me. You do bring out the best in people. Such a thought as critiquing my own poem never even occurred to me. So my heartfelt gratitude please accept.

That I could put into words your own thoughts about our reason for being, I think is an achievement for me, because the thoughts you project in your blog I always wish I could, so deftly, as you do.

Thank you for explaining your poem. I agree with you about the fundamental importance of accepting and loving oneself, before being able to move on to loving other people.

I know it was a difficult undertaking, but I knew that it was getting by without the true meaning of what was being conveyed in the poem! As I had anticipated an excellent critique! Thank you for doing this, I love the comments so far, too! sam

Very well done, indeed.... you have put into words so many of my own thoughts about our reason for being....it's growth in every way, I'm convinced of it. The mastering of ourselves (intellect, appetites, etc) is all-important. And to get over ourselves so that we can truly love and serve, without boundaries or filters....what would that be like. Heaven on earth, I dare say.

...exceedingly excellent exposition...especially enjoyed the discussion of the relative importance "of the layers of our diffentiated existence", the discussion of "mind (emotions, feelings), the intellect (thought, cognitive faculty), and the ego (attachment with false peception of the self)", "the real “I”," "animality, humanity and divinity", and the deference accorded to love as trumping reason...but, then, perhaps i am biased!!! hahaha! moon
