LOL! 666? You're either in the devil's claws or you're one of his minions! Actually, I'll tell you in confidence that the first three digits of one of my telephone numbers are 666, which causes some people considerable concern, and for good reason... bwuahahahahaha...

And thanks for the visits...

Re: My turn to try real hard to be humble but I do admire your literary
Kabu,
Alas, I have never found a way to let my interest in writing a newspaper column become known, to anyone who is interested in, and able to hire a columnist. A few people like yourself, have told me that I have missed my calling, by only blogging, but nobody tells me anything useful, about becoming a gainfully employed, writer.
I guess that we writers are all in the dark, when it comes to finding a paying, writing job. Nowadays, one need not even live anywhere near the newspaper, in order to submit their work to an editor. Communication is instantaneous, and video-conferences are  even possible, for face-to-face reporting to the boss, in case a good dressing down, is necessary.
Seems as though I am in the right place, at the right time, doesn't it? Sadly though newspapers are dropping like flies now, because the times, they are a-changing, yet again. Shoulda sold my Amalgamated Buggy-Whip stock, when it was still worth something, too.The internet, while allowing me to hone my ability to write, has sounded the "death knell" for the "printed upon paper" media, i fear. Once again, my timing is just perfect! Perfectly AWFUL!
It is very kind of you to pay me such a nice compliment about my writing, but I expect that my light will remain well-hidden, under a bushel basket, as we say here in the colonies. That's the story of my alleged life.
