This is so sad! I think the emphasis on deserter is too heavy, especially for the times we live in! I always suspect the motives of my government when conflict arises! He is in such a difficult position. It all stems from the guilt by association thing that has driven me nuts all my life! People earn their own merit and this gentleman sure seems to be living up to expectations. I think were he deported he would meet with an unavoidable doom because of his label, not who he is! I shall ask the Lord to assist him! Have a great day MEGIRL and thanks for your visits, they warm my heart and put a smile on me face! MEDEAR

Cases like this are so tragic. These poor people are in a no-man's land indefinitely.

Re:
I believe that he did adnohr, but this lawyer wasn't all that good and I don't know if he has enough money for a better one.

A sticky situation for your friend. Has he thought of contacting an immigration lawyer here in Canada? Maybe one could help, especially one who has experience in processing requests from Iran.
