I hadn't looked at that link (I don't always do what I'm supposed to, LOL), but I did now! And you're absolutely right: it's great political satire! And you know, of course, that Rown Atkinson is a conservative, don't you?

I interpreted the Spanish hacker prank as political satire too. Did you have time to read click on the BBC link I added? Here it is again. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for the laughs, I do! He's our Charlie Chaplin...LOL
But of course K. W.'s cartoon was a different kind of humour - it was political satire...

That was a hoot! Mr. Bean is so funny! I love how he lays out some of the props that seem to make no sense and they he uses the in hilarious ways! Shelly

Re: Elyse
Thanks Elyse for the kind praise and visit to the other site. Shobana has posted an anthology there with some of her most delightful poems.

Oh yes but I enjoy Mr. Bean --- his madcap humor and also his 'face' with such animations alone bring me a lilt ~ and as far as that satire/political humor stuff - I will never forgot some of the cartoons depicting imagery of Bush and all that was going on that time of history - I think I even took offense because of the 'cowboy' Texas themes at times...but reminds me - it's someones opinion and humor and creativity and I enjoyed this blog this morning. I'm laughing yes, better than crying anytime. (unless its tears of joy )
By the way: Your book, Your writing is so entertaining, and so interesting. Very good skill you show in all the dialogue and imagery that speaks out - So entertaining and very well written. I enjoyed ~ Elyse
I give it 5 thumbs up ~

I've always liked Mr. Bean! ANd love to laugh too. Ref: the beauty vs fat people in your previous post, to each our own, I guess. Who would want to hang out with people who think beauty is the only requirement to be a person? Not me, for sure!

Perhaps Mr. Bean would be upset that he's being compared to
a politician... Or not. There's a reason we get such a kick out of bumblers like Bean. It's so we don't have to think about the consequences of that kind of stuff in the hands of real "leaders" on the world stage.
