Well....they do say that dogs are similar to their owners....quirky and OCD? Yep, a good description!

Yes, I knew that those flowers were 'kin'...
Callie is one of a kind. The reports back are that she runs around just like she used to, and that she is happy. Good to hear.

It IS too bad, isn't it. Wish they lived forever. Maybe in Heaven we get to be surrounded by them all again. That would be a good time.

I so loved the pathos of it all in the end despite its being a delightfully charming write, gluey, if one can say that ... "have you no PRIDE?", and she too busy to be left concentrating on the meaning ... topped it all

.

sounds like a great el perro to own. awww ~ The herding group/dogs are something else...a treasure to own one. Maybe one day again, you'll have another similar to Cassie.

Pets can be a great source of memories from year's past. Too bad they do not live as long as we do.

I think I understand. One of my favorite dogs, TC, was annoying to me sometimes. One day I looked outside to see her digging a hole to China in my flower beds. I made her stop, then told her, "You're more trouble than you're worth!" An hour later, she was dead. The half- wolf/dog across the street killed her....THAT'LL come up in therapy!

What a story! It's sad you had to leave Callie behind, as it were, but you did the right thing. I've had Jag for a year now, a year that changed the whole rhytm of my life, and I wouldn't give him up for anything; and I'll bore people with more stuff about him soon...
And I've put the pesto recipe up in 'Thoughts'...

Dogs is peculiar folks sometimes, but so valuable.
My little friend Tuffy has been gone 29 years, but I still catch my breath when I see one that looks like her. The weird part was, I was mad at her most of her life because she got reverse house-trained. Took the longest time to stop saving bones for her.
