After a long cold spell here it’s going up into the 40s on Thursday. My fingers are bad even with moisturizers this time. KBC-A, Bill’s RJLst

I lived in London in the 1980's and I recall marvelling at sunshine and enjoying the mud

Well,
if it thaws you will have some mud to talk about. Maybe?

Nice we're having weather, don't you think?
I have some old friends that used to dress up like really old ladies and go to the airport and greet people they didn't know coming off the plane and while they were waiting for planes to come they would start conversations like this with others that were waiting. We still have snow and cold and I'm tired of it.

I agree entirely about the news media obsession with the weather
even for England where it's a national pastime to talk about the weather and being sure to point how today is so very different to, well, yesterday. I also resent how the news journalists try to imbue every weather report with sinister doom and gloom and are evidently disappointed when it's not as bad as forecast!

We've been getting nailed with snow as well. I haven't seen this much in about seven years.

I love your description of the church in the snow-covered fields. Sounds so rustic, romantic and cozy once you enter the doors.....Mal

if I wrote about our weather I would put everyone to sleep it is so boring, but yes they are talking about how unseasonal the weather has been but two weeks ago it was about how cold we were getting it.
