Elyse!
I'm always so glad to see you! I'm praying for his business, too. Great that you can cheat with the paint! That's a fabulous trick!

I just leave your blog with a good feeling of 'it's all going to be okay' ~ You are so very sweet and humble and precious Darson. I pray that your husband's business does not fail right now. I just hope so much that our economy is going to swing up --- and quickly so families can feel more secure. and as far as smudges, the analogy is great - we should keep cleaning them but I am not going to go and look (again) at my smudges --- 'cause I'm cheating actually; as the painters finish there ya' go.

--- and the baseboards the same. Truly that dirt can pile up so quickly and the doors ugh. Darson, you're a jewel you know that? Elyse

(I have to catch up on reading...)

One can get carried away dealing with the smudges all at one time, that's for sure. Thankfully we usually get shown our 'internal' smudges little by little. And I can relate to that late thing...with me at times, it's chronic. Other things just take precedence.

'Your passion is too strong for it not to...' I think I'll use that as somewhat of a mantra. That's a keeper. THANK YOU.

Thank you. Funny that it would require a religious act of faith to get a clean house...you'd think I would 'just do it'...but there's more in play here than the visible dirt, as I've discovered.

I do that!....When there's something unpleasant to do, I can distract myself all day with other, less non-pleasant items. I'm trying to attack my desk for 15 minutes a day (that's how bad it is, I have about two hours of solid work left, NO KIDDING!) Yeah, stuff like that needs a plan...good luck with that one, we'll have to compare notes!

I'm reading this, and I'm casting my eyes around my study, where I've been casting other things around, LOL...Never mind the doors, the
whole thing is one big smudge...Maybe I should make a plan...It's just that I always seem to find something that's more important at the moment...

This is such a wonderful post. I need to implement the smudge detective mode. Yes there are small business failures all over the place. You are a child of God go to his word and read Mark 11:22-25 just park there for awhile. It is true, he takes care of his own. You must have the faith without doubt and it will be done. You will be fine - encourage your husband to believe the same. I shall be praying for you.

Darson - Nothing is too minute or non-consequential to be lifted up to the Lord. Smudges are part and parcel of life and is there eveywhere I turn for sure. You are blessed for just being you. Thank you for returning with your comment.
I have done things on my own for a long long time. My husband is busy with his many things and the kids come to me for every little thing, which I love of course, then there's my family - who can't seem to live without me ..lol. so there .
I hope your husband's business picks up..don't worry your prayers will be answered.

He came home from a business meeting that he'd been dreading; some potential new customers that he was trying to convince to sign on with him...and, on a limited basis (and against all odds), they did! So all's well that ends well.
