A lot of introspective voice and dialogue in here and it's as repeated in comments here:
deep. Aba, such wisdom - and yes platitudes --- triteness --- superficial and you name it; we all can wear this mask now and then. Ah, but Spring - coming to thaw out frozenness; barrenness of many minds and souls. I am enjoying your journey - your wisdom sharing is pondered and well respected by me~ Ely

I just bask in the richness of your verse, its depth is stunning! But, mostly, I just smile at this new love and how quickly you have come to understand your own voice! It takes time to get an understanding of what one wants to do as a poet, thus an introspection of this nature is expected and actually needed for the continuation of the inward seeking to get a grasp on the voice! You have so benefitted from you analysis of other's work throughout the various ages. It shows and I can't wait to see how much growth you will experience in the next year! I assure you, you will astound yourself for I see it already even though in its infancy so to speak! Keep versifying, please! sam

Enslaved to self only to be set free when I am able to learn from my self-inflicted circumstances! My personal interpretation - Thanks

Failure, loss, long-drawn ailments,
Self-pity, are all indigent destitution
Like diseases contagious; they have
To be endured and doctored in isolation
and then there is dawn..loved it abanerjee.

Fantastic line.
They are but at best platitudes … rarely,
If ever, translated into action”
Unfortunately, it is very true. I have been evaluating my platitudinal tendency lately. Excellent poem. I love the way you ended it.!
