Maybe replaceable, but competent none-the-less.
Payroll is a chore but not everybody can do it. I used to do daily bookkeeping, but I never graduated to doing payroll. That is beyond me my skill set.

yes everyone likes the person who has the pay check, but in most cases all my are in direct deposit so I never see those people

In today's world, one who can be trusted with money is rare indeed...and obviously you are one such person. Thank you for your frequent visits and nice comments on my blog, they make me happy. Speaking of happiness, back in my younger days, our chant used be "Here comes happiness" when the secretary walked in every Friday with the paychecks. I also remember my daughter cracking up one night when I held my paycheck and said "this is the only meaningful piece of paper in life"..hahaha!
