I like the part about the importance of play.  I still feel like a little kid sometimes.

Darson, you are a lesson in life - the epitome of life and all it brings ~ You're a gift.  I pray your kiddos do cherish all your writings.  I would have loved for you to be my Mommy.  Love you much, Elyse (having to catch up on my reading so be patient with me)

Mama K! Yes, the plan is to stick around. The advice to the kidlets is just an 'in case I get hit by the chocolate truck' thing....insurance...! I have to live long enough for that trip to Canada so I can wear a tewk and eat poutine, eh?

...That's fantastic! Why didn't I think of that? Fighting fire with fire, eh? I need to practice up on my 'darlins' and 'suga's'....

For someone who says "I got nothin' here' - you sure managed to come up with sumpin'!! And very well done too! I like your first one - I practice it on a weekly basis. And if any stranger calls me 'hon', he/she is gonna get "Heellloooo sugarcakes!!", a lascivious smile, and a nice little slap on the butt right back, male or female!! Really liked Pat-B's way with it though, LOL!

You'll love to hear then, Luci, that my little grandmother ate nothing but deep dark chocolate for the last six months of her life. She was 96 and we all figured she could have what she wanted. What a way to go...now THAT'S how I want to go out!

I know, Sam! I want to grab them by their name tag, and hiss into their ear, "Listen HON! I'm over forty and I've created two businesses, built my own home, guided an eight man raft down class four rapids, and raised three children. Don't you DARE call me 'Hon'! I've at least earned a 'ma'am'....! And if you're really wise, 'Your Highness' would be okay, too!" Sheesh!

Life Lessons
This will be one of my favorite blogs.  Chocolate is a very important staple in my life.  And once I learned that dark chocolate is better for high blood pressure, I've been a much happier camper.

Brillant advice for how to live one's life! Often times we tend to forget these wise words or try to write a completely new set of them.

Good, I'm glad to hear that. Where are you, if you don't mind my asking...not an exact location, but the general area?

DON'T DO THAT! They might send you to a prison that doesn't carry chocolate rations! Could there be anything worse???

Too sweet, Darson.  Yours truly fully intends to die a death by chocolate!  Preferably fed to me by a tall, dark, shirtless man who will stay with me to the end!

The day my doctor tells me I can no longer eat chocolate is the day I KILL him!

So you're one too? A chocoholic? It's one of my own vices, together with the other holic and a couple more, LOL. I wouldn't dream of not having a nosh of the stuff before turning off the light at night, perchance to dream...

Seriously, Pat, could you be any more clever with your puns? You're the Queen....! We call a friend, Aunt Vivian, 'Amphibian', and she doesn't know it, either. If she did, she'd laugh, since she's a riot. Sounds exactly the same.

Good rules... especially the one about being called "Hon."
I used to call my ex Hun, as in Attila the Hun, but he heard "hon." Just as well...
