It's starting to look like a house again instead of a dungeon!

Re: elysianfields
We are going to do an "acid wash" on the cement floor later. I'm not sure exactly what it will look like, but I've seen one floor done this way and it turns a reddish or brownish color. I personally don't like the tiles "scored" as dirt gets in the cracks. Our house in Mexico is done this way in one room. I'll let you know more how the acid wash turns out, maybe I can post some photos later. Thanks for reading my post.

I'm glad the remodeling job is going along so smoothly.

What fun, the project of remodeling...I know its stressful but the end product always makes us all feel better.  I'm so glad for you Mariposa.  I want some cement floors in a couple of rooms in my home here.  (the music room and possibly the library room) I understand they can score it to look like tile and even color ~ I've discussed this and we're considering.  Now, about that online fraud stuff - that happened to me a couple of December's ago.  I ordered this item and we sent the money - wired - (never do that again) and we never received the product.  I was simply frauded - extorted I say, of money.  It made me sick and so yes, I had to learn the hard way as well.  I've never used Craigslist.  I believe I use etsy a great deal and have always had success (only one little mistake one time by a seller there but, it was recompensed, so I didn't lose there)...I'm glad you're getting things accomplished.  Elyse
