Ideal in humility - this touched my heart to no end. Ah, to solder - My daddy was a welder - I appreciate this - to restore and mend and I know that elderly couple just appreciated you and your gift/ your talent for restoring. Elyse

Such a lovely poem. I hate to admit it but I remember the shinny pans, the repairs and those with little speckles on them too. This is lovely so visual, tender and real.

Your story brought tears to my eyes as I read it. The times of hardships and the gift and Love in a heart was nourishment to my soul. The chickens were happy and the couple grateful and appreciative.

Love it Mr.MB .Blessings Fema

The poetry is always great and it's poetry I can relate to being a retired mechanic. You remind me of my uncle Joe who taught me such things as solder welding and repairs to things with creativity long gone from the planet now.

you have expressedsuch a picture here, I can just see those trusting
darlings standing at the gate waving you off on your bicycle to go and fix their kettle properly. Now I am wondering if they had real tea fo a cuppa, it being war an all.
