Aha! You are a risk taker! And, I so remember the birthday parties, always came when the money was tight! sam

Azur
Transported not just to the mountain foothills, but to the past; sounds wonderful. To get a photograph of that age group enjoying herself you need a telephoto lens - and sometimes a hide.

what a beautiful setting and I think it good for children to find culture early on and to learn the beauty of all settings in life...I appreciate your description of the setting and the young girls in their party frocks - and embellishments, down to some missing teeth ...that's precious. I am glad you went and enjoyed and had some High Teatime ---

Sounds like little ladies are taught early to love the finer things in life

Wow! I've never heard of a tea party like that, before. It used to be MacDonalds when my kids were that age! Sounds delicious, mind you, especially the orange cake...

If I remember correctly, when my little girl was a Tween,
whatever she loved and must have on Monday
was repulsive and rejected by Wednesday.

What they want changes by the hour. So don't feel bad if it's hit and miss when you're purchasing....
