Re: elysianfields
With my own family yeah, I would probably do it again.

FSI ~ why? I love to dye eggs (LOL) and my family likes to recall the ways in which I did them - like with fresh veggies in the water (broccolli, spinach, carrots, onion peels etc.) or with berries - cherries, blueberries, etc. I have a new way to try this year and I'm going to do it alone but, I'm going to share the recipes with my daughters - oh I just love to dye an egg. It's the artist in me. I wonder if you will do this when you get married and have a family? Elyse ~ Have a Happy Easter, FSI:
(some dyed eggs just for you ~

$ Instead of doing it, I like to see the characters on the PAAS boxes in the supermarket. BCA, Bill’s RJLst

The old makes way for the new
I wish I'd thought of that two colored egg thing. Or maybe there was only one color when I was a kid

I see this way that at different points of time, there are different things
that become fads in our lives.

I used to do that when the girls were small but not anymore now. I think as you grow older, you tend to grow out of it. Thanks so much for your visit FSI and Happy Easter.

I'm with you on the Easter Egg thing. I'd rather have a plastic shell with chocolate stuff inside than a hard-boiled, gaggy old egg. They were fun to color, once upon a time...but I got over it...

I haven't colored eggs since my kids grew up and moved.

I did enjoy it when my children were younger but the luster fades with time! I endorse what Taps said, too! sam
