Y Your grandmother’s backyard made a familiar meaningful and sentimental setting to remember her easier through the process of grief. I find the restaurants that we went after the burial services for my father, uncle, and mother memorable occasions. BC–A, Bill’s RJLst

I think it makes it extra hard when these things happen so close...
to a holiday. It can often for years make that holiday seem like a sorrowful event.

This is a very tough time! I think you handled yourself very very well, commendable even! I hope your pain eases from your loss. And I thought it was absolutely awesome that he wishes were granted. I liked the way it was carried out. Options are so important for folks in these types of private ceremonies. sam

FSI ~ aww this touched my heart. I am glad you all shared a dinner afterwards and certainly you got your 'basket' ~

- Yes, some are more reserved than others and I find the strength from those can certainly help the upset person gain 'calm' and healing. You're great!~ Elyse

I am sure she was there at her designated place and having the meal with all of you and listening to your talks about her. It is hard to accept sometimes and I understand those feelings so well.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
