You behaved in a manner almost unheard of today. That was a lovely post.

Patience is one of your virtues, friend.

Amazing what one has to tolerate in business! What a nice gesture by his companion! sam

Some of the hazards of the business you run FSI - no? Some experience there. Thanks so much for your visit and comment and yes, Mondays can be a drag sometimes.

I wish I had your patience...

Wow, what an experience. It sounds like you were able to calm the savage beast, somewhat. And the guy with him sounded like a decent fellow. It was probably his brother or brother in law or someone else like that, that he couldn't avoid! Poor guy!

Re: elysianfields
The soap is fine. What the problem was is that the hose that draws from the soap chemical does not reach all the way to the bottom of the barrel. It's been corrected.

well at least the other person was appreciative.
He sounds like he has a hot temper. Probably had some other issues that day with his life, and took it out on you. FSI, you handled the situation wonderfully. :)

Some folks are just angry, this sounded like one of them

what fantastic patience and diplomatic skills you have I am so impressed
he was just a stupid man who can't take stress and you were so kind and gentle with him...even if your first thoughts were to act the Ostrich. I may have gotten very angry in your position.

Oh my FSI ~ what a pain that must have been but, I think you did your best to handle it professionally.  At least the guy admitted he was having a bad day.  That showed restraint on your part...you acknowledged it commendably - and you did try your best to recover what he felt he lost.  All of this turned out better...however, is the soap wrong for your machines?  Elyse

Former Student Intern

e J This was goo0d reading. I put myself in both your role and the position of the customer. You handled it professionally and courteously. I guess most car wash owners help the customers. I liked a couple, including the first one that washed my car. However the first time the patriarch back then yelled like your customer at my 1968 Dodge Charger. “It’s like a boat!” You came out shining. BC–A, Bill’s RJLst
