Re: northsage45
Wow, you two really are treasures! A visit with kindred spirits and a long drive together up north, would be marvelous, but I understand that we would now need to show a passport at the border. We don't have one between us. We southerners only needed a visa to go into Mexico, back in the '70s, and easily crossed into Canada, with very little fuss or delay, dozens of times too. Sad what the sorry state of the world has done to us, isn't it?
Thank you for your gracious offer for a brief change from what can become a dreary existance, (our everyday life,) but we don't have it so bad, really. Others would be green with envy of Marilyn and me, for the fact that we have much that they can only dream of. Maybe we could visit together, when teleportation is perfected. What our governments don't know about, can't........Oh wait, nowadays I guess it COULD!
I'll be imagining what it would be like, and that would probably come pretty close to the real thing anyway, and is far cheaper, to boot! Thanks for being you.

Well I'm glad ya got all that out before ya came posting it into Blogit. Dang, I read ya a blog ago I'm sure and I really do appreciate you and HOW and WHAT you write. I used to be a Nikon guy with all the lenses trying to take a prize winning photo but I never got the prize. God Bless ya for looking after Marilyn, I know what that takes 'cuz I looked after my deceased wife but only for 4 months before she died. I've never been a hunter but I did have a rifle once and shot at some Arabs in Morocco who were trying to steal our ammunition out of our ammo dump. I did shoot some rabbits for my wife a few times because they drove her crazy eating her garden. Kabu would shoot me now if I shot animals. Now look old buddy if you and Marilyn wants to escape for a weekend, drive north for a bit and come stay with us and we'll look after the pair of you.

Re: You, Kabu & Hubby Cricket Naut L L monk Taps & Strat, I can COUNT on!
Cricket,
There are a few more names that wouldn't fit into the top "subject" part, but not very many more dependable readers that make this all worthwhile. It certainly isn't the money, I am only going to break $100.00 in earnings, this month. Three years of writing, for almost exactly $33.00 a YEAR! Writing for money? Never gonna happen. Writing for my friends? If not priceless, it is VERY close to it. I wouldn't sell my friendships with any of you, for crass ol' money! I really mean that!
Guy
PS Well, maybe if I was STARVING, but you would be among the last I'd sell, and very dearly, too! HA! HA!

well we hardly ever go away but it was our Birthday treat weekend
other wise you would have had our clicks. Sometimes I too wonder why I spend somuch time here but I love people....mostly at a distance so this is perfect.
I can't believe that all that you have done for that useless family of Marilyn's that they never offer you a break. Do you have hospice facilities where you take the relative for a week or two and the caregiver is given a break, so that they can go away and refresh themselves? It is part of the so called red socialist medicare in Australia that this is avaliablefor all caregivers. Sure you go on a waiting list but that gives everyone time to get used to the idea. It can't be good for either you are dear Marilyn to be so underfoot all the time.
But I am glad that you can't hunt.....
