There is the prettiest garden spot near here that is just about to give up the ghost and go away for this year. But, I have enjoyed it so much. It is a yard filled with pink and white tulips--so lovely--I'm going to miss it even though they will have some other kind of flower as the season progresses. Your lovely poem reminded me of it.

Re:
thanks elyse - the annual's anthem - refers to the "annual" flower springing forth in its "spring song".

Re: Lovely
tulip thresholds (of course this is a play on words - using threshold as an entrance to another housing of tulips) are indeed enchanting - fields of tulips as far as the eye can see - with entrance after entrance into another variety - simply beautiful! Thanks for your nice comment.

I loved this poem but especially 'annual anthem' endears such celebration to me...Elyse

Lovely
I am enchanted by "tulip thresholds" in particular, but this is a great poem all round
