Finding a True Human Being
IS rare -- all too rare. Most landlords act like automatons, in other words. Congratulations on finding a good guy.

Marty Goldberg sounds like one in a million, but so does your Dad, and I'm sure if and when the occasion arises, your Dad will somehow 'repay' him one way or the other...

True and sincere friendships are rare - glad your father has a friend he could count on. And I agree with the others, the way you present this is unbiased and you demonstrate it in a very good way.

That is a very long time for a friendship! It takes time to build the trust they have for each other! I like how you present everything in an unbiased manner, too! sam

I admire your keen sense of understanding too FSI. Marty sounds like a great friend for all the right reasons. Thanks so much for the visit my friend.

It's a great friendship - you know FSI, I find that often times in relationships there's more give at one point and one more taking --- but it does turn around and then equal out - It's a balance it seems.  You're a thinker - and a wise one at that.  I admire your keen perception, and thoughts.  Elyse

This is true friendship and I guess there must be much more to their
relationship than what is obvious. I'm sure your Dad is also giving and not just taking, except the giving may not be so obvious.

Friendships like your Dad and Marty are rare, but they are out there. My brother has a friend he's known for more than 30 years. Just about every week my brother joins him and his family (big family, extended too ) at there favorite restaurant. I believe they'd do anything for each other, like brothers, those two. Your Dad and Marty are both very lucky.

FSI, friendships can be made successful via busi. Not viceversa.
