What a hoot that entry was! You are so lucky Marilyn did not overhear you! I think you may have ended up wearing soup instead of consuming it! Too funny for the girls, though! So sorry your mother is ailing and the loss of her dog! sam

Re: Your blog about hoarding.
Tapdancer,
I have seen the blog to which you were referring fairly recently, while scrolling back over many of your old compositions, reading and enjoying, myself one day. I too, have been comparing the behavior of my hoarders, with the one from your past life. (I hope that you got credit for several dozen reads, that day!)
This truly IS a form of mental illness. I doubt that this aberrant lifestyle is from organic, physical causes, so that would leave only learned behavior, due to prolonged conditioned-response, or brain trauma injury, such as is treated with long-term aversion therapy or psychological counseling sessions.
The female hoarders that I spoke of in my blog, ALSO obviously have severe mental problems too, so it isn't just me!

I have watched some of the
Hoarding, Buried Alive TV programs on TLC because I could not believe that there were other people as bad as the woman that I knew and wrote about several years ago here on blogit. I am horrified to see that there are many, many, many, and I can't stand to watch it anymore. If you are interested,
Go to A Hoarder Named Bea.
