Yes, patronising is the word...and many of these guys think they are doing
a world of good when they are in fact screwing up things.

You have captured an ugly side that some negotiations take on. I know my father has been involved in both positive and the ugly ones you describe.

Yes I think you have got it about right there Ash. As long as you have something to negotiate with and I think you have if you are thinking about buying a car. Good Luck.
