Interesting portrait, and almost seems to be an entrance into a novel, or how a great novelist might write--thinking about George Elliot (a femme) as she writes her 1st paragraph of Silas Marner. (Isn't it interesting that the great explosion of the English novel was led by so many woman--eg Charlot Bronte, Austin et alia?) Am I beginning to hear the seeds of a novel in this voice?

Take a look at your last line. I know this is arbitrarty, but why repeat the title when the poem is already finished (as a poem). This is something only a novelist would write.

I've been watching how you've been exploring an experice for the last year or so, and you have been falling, quite naturally, into narrative.
But no one knows more about your inner feelings within a life than you?
So now that you got most of the info you need, why not write it big.
I know that character is not exactly you, so why don't you invent her?

Just a thought, jm

Deeply expressed, these words of sadness.  A beautiful piece.

Going forward on one's own is so difficult. Hopefully better days are ahead.
