Let me begin with the easy part of my comment - this is very well written! The other part is more complicated, and since time and space are limited, let me simply say that you strike me as a very perceptive woman, but even more so as a very courageous one...

did he play you into a corner with his sighs and cries. I feel like saying
Oh Boo Hoo to him and grow up and what about his kids. You write so well though darling...I know that this is history but you write so that it feels like yesterday.
