jem, as a selling artist, I can tell you that the mark ups are sickening
and the stores and galleries feel justified at taking over 66%. Sometimes they mark my things up 300% and wonder why I want to raise my prices. I'm starving and they have new Tacomas. They say that if I mark my things up, then they won't sell as quickly and the store, gallery will suffer. I tell them to absorb my raise in price and keep theirs at the same level. They say that this is impossible as they have higher expenses, as they walk out to their new Esplanade to get their check book and I drive off in my 73 van.

Wonky

Pecan is being a meanie and snubbing us all!!!  hehe   Nah she's doing okay last I heard from her.  I'm sure she's busy with the holidays coming up.

As for me...just been in a writing funk.  Haven't really felt too motivated lately.

Thanks for letting me know that you're still reading!  Perhaps that'll motivate me more.

Yeah, I've been missing both you and Pecan!  Where is that lady, anyway??  It's not the same here without you guys!!

On the topic of depression
at Christmas time: It might be Seasonal Affect Disorder. This can be treated by sitting under full-spectrum lights for a few hours a day, extending the time of daylight. One should be able to buy the full-spectrum bulbs for one's house lamps (for slightly more expense than regular light bulbs) at a local plant nursery.

Jemmie. I would read you more if you posted more but I think you should follow your gut feeling about staying or going. I am pleased the job is going great and as for your friend that's a tough one ...

Don't Feel Bad . . .
I lose that many spots when I do post!

Jemmie...

I hope you stay for another year.  As far as the rankings go, as I've found out, you snooze, you lose!  It's gotten to a point where I don't care as much anymore.  My college education has to come first.

You would be missed
You are an excellent writer. It is tough to get posts read sometimes when "New Posts" last about 5 minutes. The one writer you talked about so far has posted 18 times today. I would put up a post and it was history in about 5 minutes
