I try to pay my bills before someone comes along needing something from me (like my daughter)

I am glad you had a nice birthday! And how utterly awesome to make sure she got on her trip! It is a grand thing to do and I know it will come back to you in a great way! I know the feeling of not really being able to afford and yet it would be a worse thing not to make it affordable! sam

Glad you're having such a good time with your family, even if Mom doesn't know what time it is, LOL. And, like Pat, I also have never heard of buttermilk pie! I
do know of a very nice and refreshing cold soup that has buttermilk in it, but it's strictly for hot summer days...

I had a comment ready -- love the way you relate to your family,
and how all your sibs deal with your mom, and then I came to the last line... Buttermilk pie? I never heard of such a thing. Sometime when you're not so overwhelmed, maybe drop the recipe into a comment on my blog -- I'd love to see what goes into that concoction...
