After having read your hardships earlier in a post I find this very loving and interesting. You are a person of much love in many ways for many people. Bless you so dear one. I have to agree with Nautikos on the point that love comes in so many forms. I have been married to the same man for almost 28 years. This relationship takes new turns often; but daily I learn a new point about some new facets of love. I agree people can hurt you in so many ways and you still love them. The secret to me is forgiveness. I am blessed to have a two way love affair going on daily. An interesting post as yours always are.

Very interesting, although I think there are many conceptions and forms of love...

You're right.
And sometimes it takes a while to learn to love yourself in a healthy way -- enough to expect the ones you love to appreciate what they've got and reciprocate.

I just love Bette Middler and the Rose...for me she was better than Janice
Joplin....is that a terrible thing to say? LOL..., Indifference that is when love is dead.Hate is the other side of the coint tolove...but just not concerned not tocare...then there is no love.

I am lucky
to have such a wonderful family to love and know that I am loved back, unconditionally. I think the secret is to love life and seek to fill time with constructive rather than destructive thoughts, even when dark clouds block out the sunshine. I also love this song and play it often.

I love this post, love love love it.
my input would be, love yourself and all love will follow. There is no love when you dont first love yourself :) just my opinion, being one who was looking for love in the wrong the places for a long time.

"Love doesn't just go away"....
Bel, that is so true..we can't turn love off and on like a spiggot....we fall in love and we can fall out of love,( but hopefully the latter never happens, or if it does, not for long.
.
....true love just never packs its bags and goes away...

To me, someone you love is someone you will give anything to or do anything for without question or hesitation.
I love the Rose.
