- Go to Other People's Messes: Life Is Fair
mariss9
So true. Sometimes cleaning up after other people allows us the growth they might have had, had they cleaned up after themselves. Not that I'd want to do that every day...!

Other people can surely cause or contribute to them. It is not fair, in my opinion, to be left with cleaning them up, but often happens. I guess it may make a person more resourceful.

...Are you quibbling over there? Shameful! Ha ha. I dunno. I think we could certainly have a great debate about that one, and present valid arguments for both sides. It's the ultimately unanswered question. It was just interesting to me, that after all these years, I finally realized that the girl responsible for feeding young children cereal on a napkin and telling them not to spill (a set-up, by the way, if I ever did see one)....was the one that wound up cleaning up the mess...that she originated. I had never thought about that before, only dwelt on the injustice done to me. Hmmmm. So it made me think something to the effect of 'it all comes out in the wash', and all of those other cliche things that Grandma used to say....perhaps she was right.
