sounds like a nice and loving trip, your sister sounds like me, I sometimes come across cold when it comes to showing love, and my mom was like that too. Is there Swedish blood in your family?

So thoughtful of you and the visits are special I know to your Mum ~ all in all, I am so glad you all made it home safely and life is going on great...Have never heard of this and will simply study it a bit more. Have a great time there. You do share such great culture with your children. Elyse

It sounds like a wonderful way to spend a weekend.
I love Dawn French... I used to laugh my head off at "The Vicar," what an ensemble cast they had. I knew every one of those bachelors on the board, the interactions were so much like what happens at our library volunteers board meetings. I wonder if they'll have her book at Borders...

Glad you had a good weekend and were able to spend some time with your Mum. And I so envy you, seeing Dawn french in person. Naturally, The Vicar of Dibley was one of my favourite programmes!

Love from one's son goes a long way to surround and heal and
keep joy and love in your heart and soul. I love the Vicar of Dibley. Richard and I watched the English comedies every Saturday night on PBS. His favorite was Last of the Summer Wine. I like Waiting on God and Keeping up Appearances. Many Blessings.

what a wonderful caring and understanding son you are.....your Mum
must be purring ...and bragging to her friends I just know. And the Vicar of Dibly ....Oh I miss English humour here in Canada.....I must see if I can get my hands on her book sometime. And I am glad that you are back safe and sound....I was on edge about you with foggy conditions and all. Really this blogit family is so important to me, I find I care really care about you all.

Malcolm
Your mum is so fortunate to have you visit. Sorry about the coldness of your sister, multiply that by 5 and it describes my children?......

Moms need a lot of hugs, makes them very happy.

'The Vicar of Dibley' is one of my favourite TV sitcoms and I think Dawn French is just perfect for the part.

Glad you are back OK Malcolm and hope you get the signature I see the Charles actually signed for a flood victim. I can't help feeling sorry for your sister, I'm sure she doesn't mean to be cold. Sorry nothing to do with me I always scrub out more than I write or I would get blocked.
