I really hate it that things like this happen to families where there are children. Something similar happened in Peter's step-family right before Christmas and his step-nephews and nieces, four of them, were taken away from his step-sister and put in foster care for I don't know how long. His step-sister is back home with Peter's parents moaning and groaning about the turn of events. In the meantime, Peter's step-brother who was in prison doing hard time for eight years and is out now, has been barred from the home and any family activities because he is too volatile. Nice home-coming holiday furlough for Peter. He does worry about his mom when he is gone.

All I can say is "WOW!" This saga seems as if it will never end in a good way. As others have already said Pam is so lucky to have you....her "guardian angle" to watch over her.
This has the making of a reality TV series......

I just read this post and the last post, you have had a wonderful
Christmas with your family and that has been lovely and It seems to me that Pam's bio Mum is a very sick lady wondering if she overdosed or himself the husband nearly killed her. Poor Pam, but I thank God that she wasn't there when it happened.

Pam's bio mom, supposedly overdosed in a suicide attempt a few days ago. Trust me, I am just as confused. it's beginning to look like it wasn't by her own hand but with a little help from her husband.
She is currently in a hospital medically induced coma.
